There will be obstacles. There will be doubters. There will be mistakes. but with hard work there are no limits.

Here I am with the nationally known health coach Ashleigh Overlander, answering the questions you have been dying to know, about how she got to where she is today.
So Ashleigh, the biggest question we have for you is why. Why have you decided to do what you do?
"Well, I grew up in a Christian, homeschooling family where we were encouraged to think for ourselves, find our true personality and style, and to be confident in the person we were becoming. As I got into high school I saw all of my friends start to conform to society and lose their light and joy in themselves. For most of 9th and 10th grade I started hanging out with people who were rather negative and I got a glimpse at what it's like to pick on yourself and only see the bad in yourself. When I was 14 I went to Italy for a 2 1/2 week biblical arts study and I knew there was more to life than this. In 11th and 12th grade I started studying health and faith. I finished high school 6 months earlier than my friends and went to The Institute For Integrative Nutrition to become a health coach. I wanted to teach people that to be truly happy in the world you don't need material things like
money, or fancy clothes, or furniture. All you need is a positive mental attitude and the understanding of how your thoughts and emotions are what creates the positive or negative situations in life. You are the only one who can create a negative situation in life, and you are the only one who can choose to see it in a more positive light. I got into Yoga when I was in 12th grade and really started to center my faith and spirituality, this brought me to wanting to add this to my business as an option for those seeking a deeper connection with their inner world."
Was moving to Florence part of the plan? Or did it occur later?
"It was and it wasn't at the same time. When I went to study in Italy I fell in love with the beauty of the country, I knew I would eventually move there because I was enticed by the history and beauty of the country. I never really thought of how I would mix my career with the move, but eventually I decided that I would become an online health coach so I could coach those in America. I eventually connected with Radici Yoga here in Florence and I started coaching their clients until I received my 500 hour certification, then I taught there as well."
Now, You have celiac, right? How has this been for you since moving here?"
It's been great, being that Italy is known for their love for food, they have become very knowledged in the area of celiac, and I have helped a few restaurants completely change over to be fully celiac friendly. A Celiac can print off a card online that says 'hey, I have to have things made a certain way.' This allows the kitchens notification to clean everything and cook with celiac only utensils, this helps the kitchens from mixing up a gluten plate with a gluten free plate. I like to make all my food at home, I buy all my produce from the farmers market where you can talk to the people who grew the food and really know what's going into your food."
How did you get to where you are? What nudged you to being who you are?
" Mostly my parents, a few friends, A LOT of mental attitude changes through the MKMMA. My parents were always supportive of what I wanted and they would always encourage me to be my best and to follow my dreams, my friends would always ask me what I was up to lately in the entrepreneuring world, this pushed me to actually do something, and I knew that I had to change my way of thinking in order to succeed and the MKMMA has changed my life in more ways than I can put into words. I am so incredibly grateful for everything these people have done for me. They have helped me change the world within and without."
